This laptop is from the Compaq business range, hence built to a much better standard than the cheap consumer models. When new it was an expensive piece of kit!
I have re-formatted the hard drive and installed a fresh, licensed copy of Windows Xp Professional, SP3 with all updates installed.
I have also installed a selection of software so that the laptop is ready to switch on and use, just like a new!
